We have an immediate opening for a full-time Mechanical Engineer to join our Calgary team. The primary function of this position is to support the mechanical design portions of custom electrical products (mainly pre-fabricated building) for the Oil & Gas sector. The overall objective is to work with the engineering team and customers to determine their equipment requirements and to design products which will meet or exceed the customer‘s needs.
Responsibilities Include:
- Design and preparation of drawings of Portable Distribution Centers and e-Houses
- Prepare equipment layouts for electrical and control rooms; Evaluate heat losses and selection of HVAC units.
- Interfacing with customers and understanding their individual requirements. Coordinate information and interface with other engineering disciplines
- Control and manage engineering changes during project execution.
- Assist in the preparation of technical proposals and cost analysis. Use technical knowledge in structural steel and building design to develop conceptual designs.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies:
- Four-year Mechanical Engineering Degree
- At least three years of experience in mechanical design of fabricated enclosures, thermodynamics study preparation and design, plus drafting ability both for 2D and 3D (Solid Edge or Inventor software experience preferred).
- Previous experience in the Alberta Oil & Gas industry would be beneficial.
- Eligibility to register as a P.Eng. in the Province of Saskatchewan preferred, but EIT candidates well into their required experience and reporting will also be considered.
