Software Developer - Microseismic
JOB SUMMARY
CGGVeritas Land Division is offering a position for Software Developer to join the Microseismic group based in Calgary (Canada). As a Software Developer in the Microseismic group, you will be responsible for insuring the integrity of the software package used on the field operations. The Microseismic group is a new group within CGGVeritas and is supporting the ongoing improvements on current internal services.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Play a key role as an interface between researchers and end-users
Provide assistance in the office, remotely to field locations or by traveling to sites.
Contribute to the development, industrialization and validation of the real-time processing software
Work within the existing methodology framework
Interact with other entities (Hampson-Russell, Processing and Imaging)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
University Degree in software development or geosciences
Experience in Progreamming language C++ is a requirement
Good programming skills, 2+ years experience in software development
A good experience of GUI development
Experience with Network Architechture and Matlab software is a plus
Takes ownership of duties, shows initiative and is proactive
Knowledge in seismic processing and operational activity is a plus
Commitment to continuous improvement and and ability to embrace change
Desire and ability to grow professionally while significantly enhancing a team environment
Strong, open communicator and active listener
Frequent travel to France to coordinate with R&D teams
Additional travel around North America as needed to support operations
