- Responsible to prepare and format a variety of communications including preparation of the annual report draft.
- Perform reception duties and provide general secretarial support.
- Maintain room bookings for office and meeting rooms and issue keys to faculty, staff and students.
- Maintain departmental bulletin board and post events and other notices to all appropriate online venues including social media.
- Answer phone and screen and direct calls. Respond to routine inquiries and take and relay messages.
- Prepare and distribute posters and notices for public events, in print and electronically.
- Set up and maintain manual and computerizes files for Faculty and Administrator.
- Assist current and prospective students, faculty and the general public with admissions, program and scholarship inquiries.
- Assist Academic Advisor with general advising of students.
- Liaise with the Office of the Registrar to establish and verify eligibility of transfer credits and track incomplete documentation.
- File and distribute course evaluations to instructors.
- Maintain statistical information on students and the program.
- Establish, set up and maintain a system to receive applications.
- Prepare confirmation letters regarding student loans and other student needs.
Qualifications:
Business/office administrative diploma (undergraduate Degree preferred) plus an additional three to five years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of training and experience) is required. Previous experience in a University environment is strongly preferred. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point, outlook) and Access required. Previous experience with Banner will be considered an asset. Excellent organizational and communication skills along with the ability to work efficiently independently required.

Salary Range: $33,926 – 41,373 per annum (32.5 hours per week) (Administrative Secretary AS1 provisionally) (This is a provisional classification. Formal classification procedures will be initiated by the Compensation & Job Evaluation Unit in approximately six months.)
