AMEC’s Archaeology and Cultural Heritage Group (formerly Arcas) is accepting applications for
Burnaby, Fort St John and Tumbler Ridge offices
. We have openings for full-time permanent staff, as well as, seasonal employees. Start dates vary, but most positions would start in May or June.
The candidates will be primarily responsible for field work, data analysis, and report writing.
The candidates will work in a dynamic and supportive team environment with some of the most experienced consulting archaeologists in BC.
The job offers opportunities to work on a variety of projects throughout BC and other locations, as well as, to develop new skills and further career advancement.
Applicants must have a Bachelors degree in archaeology or anthropology or be enrolled in a degree program.
Preferred but not essential qualifications include previous archaeological consulting experience, completed B.A., familiarity with BC archaeology, and good written and verbal communication skills.
Candidates must be prepared to spend extensive amounts of time in the field, sometimes in remote locations.
We are also looking for candidates interested in an office-based position with little field work.
