AMEC’s Archaeology and Cultural Heritage Group (formerly Arcas) is accepting applications for Junior Archaeologists for its Burnaby, Fort St John and Tumbler Ridge offices . We have openings for full-time permanent staff, as well as, seasonal employees. Start dates vary, but most positions would start in May or June.

Responsibilities: · The candidates will be primarily responsible for field work, data analysis, and report writing.
· The candidates will work in a dynamic and supportive team environment with some of the most experienced consulting archaeologists in BC.
· The job offers opportunities to work on a variety of projects throughout BC and other locations, as well as, to develop new skills and further career advancement.
Qualifications: · Applicants must have a Bachelors degree in archaeology or anthropology or be enrolled in a degree program.
· Preferred but not essential qualifications include previous archaeological consulting experience, completed B.A., familiarity with BC archaeology, and good written and verbal communication skills.
· Candidates must be prepared to spend extensive amounts of time in the field, sometimes in remote locations.
· We are also looking for candidates interested in an office-based position with little field work.
· Applicants must be physical fit, and hold a valid Driver’s License
