AMEC’s Oil Sands division in Calgary is looking to add a
Reliability Engineer
to its team.
Overview:
To provide M&R engineering support for the development of AMEC’s client maintenance management system integration. This role involves working closely with the client reliability and maintenance team to ensure the best practice is maintained during the development of maintenance strategies.
The position covers the assessment of planned installed equipment, criticality ranking of equipment and development of maintenance strategies to ensure a maximum availability time is achieved.
Responsibilities:
Review criticality ranking of equipment once handed over by the AMEC maintenance team.
Assessment of equipment and alignment to the relevant client specification.
Risk assessment of potential equipment failure
Assist the client organization with the development of maintenance and reliability activities
Assist AMEC’s Operations & Maintenance Manager with the development and delivery of maintenance systems.
Assist the client with the development of maintenance strategies as per the relevant specification.
Work with the computerized maintenance management team to develop the criticality ranking of equipment and systems.
Work with the overall project engineering team to understand design and maintenance that may be required.
Re-assign and develop equipment strategies and equipment design.
Facilitate risk review sessions with client and AMEC personnel to assess equipment operating risks.
Facilitate review sessions with client and AMEC personnel to assess potential maintenance routines.
Develop maintenance strategies on a facility wide approach to consolidate maintenance routines.
Provide recommendations to client personnel on the best way to approach specific maintenance.
Work within the client organization using client system and processes
Qualifications:
Degree or advanced diploma in Mechanical engineering
Good understanding of maintenance systems
Able to understand and follow client specifications
Ability to motivate cross functional teams
Strong technical background
Experience in risk assessment processes
Good planning and maintenance implementation procedures
Experience in equipment criticality ranking and assessments. FMECA, FMEA
RCM knowledge is an advantage
Ability to work well within a team
Previous experience on Oil Sands projects is an advantage
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
