As a Project Controls Manager you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of project services professionals; drive compliance of company controls; ensuring efficiencies and consistency. You possess the ability to influence change and build consultative partnerships with the project teams.
Responsibilities:

Lead the development and ensure compliance of company control systems and documentation for the project
·
Monitor cost performance, develop cost forecasts, and prepare cost reports
·
Provide leadership for project planning and scheduling activities
·
Report on project deviations and participate in the development of mitigation plans
·
Maintain the project change control system.
·
Lead cost and schedule analysis
·
Coordinate and assemble weekly and monthly progress reports
·
Work closely with client’s operations management team

Cost Control, Document Controls, Estimating, and Planning and Scheduling staff
Liaises with:
Mining Manager
Construction Manager
Engineering Manager
Contracts and Procurement Management
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Technical college graduation or engineering degree and a minimum of five to ten years of related experience
Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
Good organizational and planning skills, detail oriented
Excellent ability to develop effective work breakdown structures and follow company procedures and instructions
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Superior analytical skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong computer skills including MS Project and/or Primavera 3, MS Office and experience working with project management systems
Experience working in a consulting/contracting environment
Knowledge in contracts and supply chain management
Previous experience in the mining industry is preferred
