TITLE: Product Manager
LOCATION: Waterloo
POSTION SUMMARY
As Product Manager you will guide a cross functional team that is charged with growing your solution’s contribution to the line of business. You will build products from existing ideas, customer feedback and input from partners and suppliers to help develop the best ideas in to differentiated products. You possess a unique blend of business and technical acumen, the big-picture view and the tenacity to drive the important details to completion. You enjoy spending time in market to understand customer problems and finding innovative solutions for the broader market.
You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company and differing levels of management. You will work with your counterparts in engineering and services to define product release requirements and with marketing to help define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your solution working with marketing, sales and key customers.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Lead one or more cross-functional teams in concept development, new product introduction and lifecycle management for assigned product category
- Accountable for all program metrics, including development schedule, revenue and margin, product quality and customer satisfaction
- Responsible for the revenue and profit within the product portfolio
- Development of product requirements for current and future products
- Represent solution to end users and business partners
- Creation and management of solution strategy and roadmap
- Lead the creation of services offers including customer support and professional services
- Provide product sales support to direct and indirect channels
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor or Masters Degree in business or relevant technical discipline preferred
- 6 to 8 years of product management experience in technology area specifically software
- Self-motivated with the ability to influence others, particularly across organizations
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Proven track record of delivering results
- Successfully managed complex programs across multiple organizations
- Inspires and promotes teamwork
- Experience and knowledge in financial services, payments
- Strong business and financial acumen
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA
- Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt or Black Belt certification
- Product Management related certifications
