Our client is looking for a junior network/data center operations consultant to join their team. The data center operates 7x24 so there is shift work involved. You will be responsible for reporting, repairs and operation activities related to installed computer technologies and services. This position monitors and reports on the activities within the data center and endeavors to resolve detected problems to the best of their abilities. This position has the potential to become a permanent role.

Responsibilities include:

• Operate and monitor computer systems within the data center to maximize availability
• Provide operational and performance reports on the systems under care
• Troubleshoot and repair various computer technologies including servers, disks, networks and services to reduce time to repair
• Record and communicate all activities during work shifts to ensure accurate history records
• Manage individual processes as assigned by to improve departmental results
• Required to promptly report issues affecting service availability
• Takes initiative to proactively improve service quality
• Ability to work independently, follow instructions and work with other team members is very important for this role.

This is a 24x7 operation and the role involves shift work. The have three six week rotations (7am-4:45pm, 3:15pm-1:00am or 9:45pm-7:30am). Please confirm interest in all shifts.
