Directing a team total of 20 trades people and power engineers through your Maintenance Leader, Chief Power Engineer and Planner you will demonstrate through proven accomplishments the ability to create and instill a world class level of performance.
Responsibilities:
Management of the Capital projects program, from inception through to commissioning, in alignment with plant objectives
Direct financial responsibility for budgets of Plant Maintenance/Utilities, Capital Projects and Waste Water Treatment plant (+/-$ 18M)
Oversee, plan, sustain budgets for Operations and Maintenance departments
Direct safe & efficient delivery of plant utilities (water, fire protection, electricity, natural gas, steam production
Mentor, coach and develop high performing teams
Selection and management of suppliers or contractors for major capital projects, (+/-$1M)
Propose improvements in the process, energy use, resource use, safety, health, and management.
Ensure safety performance tracking levels to world class company standards are met using measurable goals and targets
Must Haves
P. Eng status within a Canadian Province
7-10 years experience successfully leading a unionized workforce
Strong understanding of current Health & Safety practices
Engineering knowledge in building construction & maintenance
Demonstrated success creating a world class plant in a production environment.
Proven track record in managing multiple projects technically and financially.
Regulatory compliance knowledge for waste water treatment & discharge
Good understanding of boiler room operations
