The Systems Integrator will provide mechanical, electrical and software integration of instruments and equipment for the Laboratory Automation product line within Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Mechanical, Electrical, and Software integration of Thermo Fisher products, custom products and customer supplied Equipment
Assembly of components to be used on the integrated system
Assists in technical solutions to meet the customer’s requirements
Assists in the creation of a detailed schedule, specific to the customers project, when required
Installs and configures all software required
Develops and performs test protocols to ensure successful testing and execution
Maintains proper documentation, record keeping, and reporting of project status
Ensures that the system complies with Quality System requirements
Performs on-site activities to gain site acceptance
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
University or College degree or diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Software disciplines or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years assembly experience and 1 year working with automation
Other Requirements
Valid driver’s license
Valid passport
Ability to travel 15-30 % of time
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions
Proven software programming skills
Mechanically adept with blueprint reading / drawing knowledge
Proposal writing
Troubleshooting skills
