Our client, a leading downtown organization with a great corporate culture, is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join their team! You will provide support to the underwriting staff to sustain the production and underwriting goals of the various departments that they support. If you are a team player with excellent communication and customer service skills paired with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, then this may be the perfect opportunity for you to showcase your skills!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the underwriting departments with various transaction requests and instructions
- Assist with systems updates as required by underwriting
- Create and maintain various departmental spreadsheets
- Special projects as assigned, including assisting with coordinating brokers events, managing details for internal and external meetings for staff and brokers, etc.
- Order office supplies and equipment as required by underwriting team
- Manage general administrative duties including: incoming/outgoing mail and faxes including distribution to staff; filing; photocopying; scanning and indexing and reception back-up
- Records management of current physical files and files in off-site storage, including electronic file integrity
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary education is a definite asset
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, for internal and external communication
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Highly effective customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and also as part of a large and diverse team
- Ability to exercise judgment, decision making and initiative in order to prioritize competing demands/requests
- Demonstrated adherence to policies/procedures, including appropriate file documentation and proper workflow
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
