Reporting to the Manager, Supply Chain Management Contracts Mining, you will be responsible to provide support in Suncor's Supply Chain Category Management organization in contract management activities, supplier relationship management activities and category management activities for a category or group of categories.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Perform and support analytical activities in Category Management for a specific category within the Suncor Supply Chain organization
Participate on cross-functional sourcing teams, taking responsibility for translating Suncor business requirements and negotiated outcomes into a supply contract
Work with contract management specialists to develop the supply contract, utilizing approved contract templates and support contract development activities as directed
Participate in Supply Chain functions including Supply Planning and Enablement and Supply Chain Services to collect information as it relates to contract compliance
Report all contract compliance discrepancies, highlighting repeat offences to the Category Management Leadership team
Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing representatives to formalize the category requirements for a sourcing event
Execute assigned tasks for the category implementation plans across multiple dimensions including category strategy, contract implementation and supplier relationship improvement programs
Support supplier meetings and related activities as directed by the Category Manager and in conjunction with the Supplier Relationship Management Analyst
Responsible for the collection and management of category/supplier data in accordance with Suncor's data management policies and procedures for respective categories
Support continuous improvement initiatives across all aspects of Category Management
Participate in meetings with cross-functional enablement team to evaluate business unit requirements, communicate expectations and evaluate process optimization opportunities
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:
Post secondary education in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain preferred
2+ years of experience in a Supply Chain role
Skills and Knowledge:
Experience in a related industry such as chemicals, utilities, resources or engineering preferred
Experience or advanced training in Microsoft Office programs
Knowledge of corporate governance, policies and procedures and contract/procurement law
Demonstrated skills in business performance measurement (KPIs) and category management
Strong industry acumen and market intelligence with knowledge of supplier integration and Supplier Relationship Management
Demonstrated understanding in financial analysis and regulations and RFx development and execution
