Intermediate Archaeologist

AMEC’s Archaeology and Cultural Heritage Group (formerly Arcas) is looking for
full-time Intermediate Archaeologist
for its
Fort St. John office
.
The candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of cultural resource management projects throughout the province.
Responsibilities include:
·
Proposal preparation, field work, data analysis, report writing, interacting with clients and government personnel, and supervising/mentoring staff.
·

Qualifications:
·
Applicants must have a Bachelors or graduate degree in archaeology or anthropology;
·
Minimum 5 years archaeological consulting experience;
·
Field director status in the sub-arctic Boreal forest;
·
Very good written and verbal communication skills;
·
Capable of working in a quality deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision.
Preferred but not essential qualifications include:
·
Defended M.A. and BC permit holding status.
·
Candidates must be interested in both office and field work.
·
Applicants must be physical fit and hold a valid Driver’s License.
