The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for pharmacy services in the hospital which include:
Provision of a medication distribution system that meets the needs of the patients and optimizes safety, efficiency and economy;
Pharmacotherapy monitoring which includes patient-specific assessment of medications based on diagnoses, allergies, laboratory tests and adverse effects;
Pharmaceutical care which includes participating in development and monitoring of a therapeutic plan to improve the patient’s quality of life
Quality assurance which ensures that the optimal delivery of patient-focused care is incorporated into daily practice.
The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for pharmaceutical services (distribution & clinical) to all Yukon Hospital Corporation facilities and the community healthcare facilities.
Knowledge and Skills Required

The successful candidate is required to have a BSc degree in Pharmacy, certificate of qualification from the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC), Pharmacy Licence in the Yukon Territory and current registration in another province, completion of a pharmacy residency program and/or a minimum of 5 years previous clinical hospital pharmacy experience and a minimum of 5 years of Management experience. Preference will be given to those that are members of CSHP and those who have multi-site management experience. A degree in Health Administration Management and meditech experience would be considered an asset for this position. Experience with a chemotherapy program and remote dispensing would be an asset Yukon Hospital Corporation - 14 months ago
