The Administrative Assistant provides a full range of administrative and confidential services for the both the Human Resource Business Advisor and the Engineering Manager/team in support of the successful completion of the VAULT Programme mine and mill expansion project. The expected duration of this assignment is 18 months.
Responsibilities
Responsible for all Engineering and HR administration services
Perform administrative and secretarial duties as required
Coordinate meetings as assigned
Schedule and coordinate travel arrangements
Compile and prepare a variety of information and reports
On-board all new hires
Take, compile and distribute accurate meeting minutes
Provide backup and/or training for other administrative support positions as required
Record and reconcile employee time sheets using SAP
Maintain up to date Organizational Chart and Contact lists
Employ sound judgment in screening incoming calls and correspondence, including confidential information and inquiries
Assists other VAULT teams with administrative functions as required
Act as a first point of contact for visitors to the office
Trouble-shoot problems with computers and other office equipment and liaise with service providers to resolve equipment problems
Qualifications
Administrative diploma or certificate preferred
3 – 5 years of administrative experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, Visio and Power Point
Experience with SAP is an asset but not required
HR knowledge an asset but not required

This position is located at the Agrium's Vanscoy, Saskatchewan, Potash Mine facility. Vanscoy Potash Operations (VPO) is located approximately 33 kilometers southwest of Saskatoon.
VPO produces four sizes of high quality potash for shipment to markets around the world. The ore body is one kilometer below the surface. An extensive network of underground roads takes workers to the mine faces and various shops. This operation directly employs over 550 people in both the surface and underground operations.
