KUDU is currently looking to fill the role of Design Engineer . This position will report to the Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead product design specific to electrical and hydraulic power units.

Generating engineering drawings for use in manufacturing, assembly, and testing; using Solid Works and Visual Manufacturing.

Support to production by maintaining drawings for use in manufacturing, assembly, and testing.

Lead building and testing prototypes.

Implementation of design changes.

Work closely with multiple teams to support product manager by implementing new ideas through engineering and design.

Prepares design calculations, stress analysis, prototyping, FEA, structural design and analysis.

Completes and maintains equipment specifications, manuals, and engineering masters.

Product compliance with applicable regulations and standards.

Field travel required to support collection of input data and product validation feedback.

Desired Skills / Job Requirements:
Experience with oilfield equipment manufacturing/design would be an asset.

Familiar with Power Unit systems (hydraulic and generator) and general knowledge of PCP systems.

Working knowledge of engines (fuel, natural gas, diesel), hydraulic pumps and generators.

Knowledge of electrical circuits, codes, wiring.

Experience with Lean enterprise would be an asset.

Strong hands on mechanical background with experience manufacturing processes.

Knowledge of regulations and industrial standards applicable to artificial lift.

Demonstrated good written/oral communication skills.

Proficient use of computers/related software including word processing, spreadsheet applications, and Visual Manufacturing.

Proficient in Solid Works and other CAD tools.

Good understanding of electrical and hydraulics.

Education:
University diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

P.Eng. registration would be an asset.
