Located in our Mississauga, Ontario offices the Canada Program Control Services (PCS) team is a specialist group of Accenture resources based in the Canada Delivery Centre providing management and control expertise to project engagements. The PCS team provides specialist skills establishing, running, and continuously improving Program Management Office (PMO) functions. PCS delivers value through consistent, repeatable processes executed by skilled individuals committed to careers in Project and Program Management. PCS emphasizes processes that conform to PMI and Accenture Methodologies and works with its resources to help attain industry standard certifications such as CAPM and PMP. Additionally, finance-related responsibilities could help candidates qualify towards CMA certification.

Job Description

Program Control Services (PCS) Specialists design and implement governance activities to manage a program (or group of interrelated projects) and to improve the likelihood that program goals are met. PCS Specialists provide finance, workplan, and general project management support across Accenture accounts. Specific responsibilities are outlined below:

Support project control and administration activities performed by the program manager.

Define overall program governance requirements, such as Issue and Risk Management, Change Control, Financial reporting, Workplan metrics, Resource Management, Program Quality and Communications

Support financial analysis and the preparation of project financial summary reports

Perform and monitor Accenture internal financial processes which include invoicing, forecasting/budgeting, pricing and variance analysis

Provide value-added financial management analysis to client engagement teams to maximize the profitability of engagements

Overseeing the creation and maintenance of program dashboards and other reporting requirements

Work-plan management and control using standard project management tools (MS Project, MS Project Server, Project Web Access)

Basic data analysis, metrics, earned value and productivity analysis.

Assist project teams to mobilize quickly and consistently by gathering and interpreting client PMO requirements and tailoring documents as required (approaches, plans, job aids)

Bring together various capabilities into a single team by coordinating with Quality Process Improvement Liaisons, providing guidance on corporate functions (Client Financial Management and contract management) and mobilizing off-site PMO
