Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Stationary Engineer 3rd Class
Experience: No experience
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Work Setting: Plastics processing industry
Type of Equipment: Low pressure boilers, High pressure boilers, Pumps, Compressors, Valves, Cooling towers, Water and wastewater treatment, Pneumatic controls
Specific Skills: Troubleshoot, perform corrective action or minor repairs as required, Perform routine equipment maintenance, Clean and lubricate machinery and components, Maintain daily log of operation, maintenance and safety activities, Write plant or building operation reports, Assist in the development of operation, maintenance and safety procedures
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods
Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available
