Our client, a company in the property management industry, is seeking an Accounting Assistant for their Halifax location. This is a contract opportunity for approximately three months.

Working within the accounting department your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, assisting the Property Accountants with month-end duties, and other accounting support duties as required.

As the ideal candidate you have a post-secondary education in accounting, combined with a minimum of two years accounting support experience in the property industry. With strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail, you are able to pick up on particular processes very quickly. Combining excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you have a strong work ethic and are dedicated. Prior experience using Spectra, Yardi, or another industry specific software is strongly preferred.
