Summary of Position:
We are looking for an intermediate level Electrical Design Engineer

Responsibilities:
? Design of:

• Main generator output systems
• Electrical distribution systems (low and medium voltage)
• Standby and emergency power supply systems
• Grounding and lightning protection systems
• Cathodic protection systems
• Uninterruptible power supply systems
• Lighting systems
• Cabling systems

? Preparation of cost estimates

Qualifications:

• University degree in Electrical Engineering
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)
• Good spoken and written English communication skills
• Good understanding of the Canadian Electrical Safety Code and industry standards (CSA, IEEE, IEC)
• 5-10 years of experience which can include the following areas:

1. Generator output systems
2. Electrical distribution systems (low and medium voltage)
3. Standby and emergency power supply systems
4. Electrical analysis (ETAP)
5. Electrical protection and coordination
6. Electrical equipment specification (circuit breakers, bus ducts, overhead lines, motors, cables, transformers, switchgears, MCCs, diesel generators, VFDs, inverters, rectifiers, static switches, batteries)
7. Grounding and lightning protection
8. Cathodic protection
9. Lighting
10. Cost estimates

• Experience in high hazard Industry (Nuclear, Oil& Gas, Power)
• Customer focused
• Experience with external suppliers or vendors
• Experience in a project oriented consulting environment
• Eligibility for Canadian Security Clearance
• Ability to legally work in Canada

• Confident with client interface
• Analytical, problem solving, conflict resolution and conceptual skills
• Results oriented and proactive
• Ability to set and meet milestones and deadlines
