JOB DESCRIPTION

Schedule : full time, part time, on call

Status : permanent, contractual

Salary : according to the Ministry pay scale

LaSalle College, member of LaSalle International, is currently searching for qualified childhood educators to fulfill several positions at the College’s daycare, LaSalle des petits. We are looking for motivated, dynamic people who want to be part of a great team!

The educator will be in charge of a group of children (from 0-5 years of age), seeing to their education, hygiene, health and safety. He will put Québec’s Educational Program for daycare services into practice. The chosen candidate will also plan the daily schedule, work directly with the children, observe and lead appropriate activities for the group.

MAIN TASKS

Plan and lead daily activities that promote child development;

Evaluate the skills, abilities, interests and needs of the children;

Discuss the children’s progress/problems with their parents and other staff members;

Supervise interns and assistant early childhood educators.

REQUIREMENTS

Bilingual (written and spoken);

In compliance with the “Ministère de la Famille et des Aînés” standards: a DEC in childhood education techniques or equivalent studies;

Mandatory valid safety training course;

Be willing for a verification of no impediment.
