INTERMEDIATE GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER

Fort McMurray, AB

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for the preparation of geotechnical engineering designs and related documents. This role will be required to develop and oversee material testing and inspection programs, geotechnical investigations, studies and assessments. In addition to coordinating work effort with other disciplines and clients, you will work with other engineers and team members on projects of various sizes. Fostering and growing strong relationships with our clients are also important aspects to this role.

Using your considerable organizational, communication and people skills, you will work with cross discipline teams to ensure projects are completed within allotted schedules and budgets, and to high quality standards. Mentorship of new and junior employees is also a key part of this role and our organization.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
University Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering. A Masters degree would be an asset;

7 or more years of relevant experience in routing studies, stability assessments, heavy industrial foundations, dams, mining;

Registered (or eligible for registration) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Alberta;

Consulting engineering experience will be considered an asset;

Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written) and proven ability to collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplined environment;

Technical competency and strong attention to detail.
