Process commissions, adjustments and related accounting entries while ensuring that internal and regulatory guidelines are followed.
Partner with sales force in relation to commission pay. Key Responsibilities:
Perform day to day calculations and processing commissions for various dealer representatives;
Verify all commission transactions comply with internal accounting database records;
Prepare and process bank deposits and electronic fund transfers from Fund Companies;
Accurately maintain and verify records/back-up for all dealer transactions;
Prepare and post journal entries utilizing Dataphile and SUN systems according to all accounting commission related transactions;
Reconcile various dealer accounts utilizing Dataphile and SUN systems for period end;
Compile data from various systems to ensure data accuracy for Financial reporting purposes;
Assist in the preparation of audit reports; and
Participate in special projects/assignments. Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 2 years experience in an accounting office environment;
College Diploma/University Degree in Accounting preferred;
Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel;
Previous experience in calculating and paying sales commissions preferably within the securities industry;
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines; and
