This is a great role for a resourceful and driven individual looking for exceptional opportunities early in their career. The position is based in Toronto and will report to, and work closely with, the General Manager for TerraCycle Canada and the Global VP Brigades.
This position involves overseeing most of the Canadian accounts and includes general account management, development of retail and marketing activation ideas with our partners, reporting, and invoicing review.
Superb written and oral skills are mandatory, as are keen attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to problem solve and to juggle responsibilities amidst shifting deadlines and priorities. The ideal candidate will have experience with strategic planning, a successful track record of managing accounts to growth, and will be motivated to work in a highly entrepreneurial and dynamic environment.
Job Description: The Account Manager will:
Manage large, complex accounts
Lead account planning for most accounts, including the promotion of TerraCycle ‐ related initiatives in each account’s IMC and promotions strategy
Develop and execute strategic plans for each account
Expand each client’s institutional understanding of TerraCycle
Establish and build strong relationships with leaders across multiple teams at each account
Coordinate internally with TerraCycle’s PR, Licensing, Product Development and Logistics teams
Support TerraCycle’s outreach initiatives to increase participation in our collection programs
University degree required
2-3 years experience managing external relationships; preference given to work with consumer products companies and/or green businesses, especially in a marketing or sales capacity
Demonstrated success in business development and strategic account management
Project management and critical thinking skills
Outstanding written and oral communication skills, and presentation skills, including proficiency in powerpoint and excel
Proven track record of managing relationships to success
Salary commensurate with experience
