Purpose of Position (Certifying Engineer Heavy Cat S):
To maintain the aircraft in an airworthy condition and carry out maintenance tasks as required.
Certifying Engineers, preferred. Non-Certifying Engineers and Apprentice Engineers will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Heavy Maintenance Manager, the Sheet Metal Technician will be responsible for the following tasks:
Carrying out and certify sheet metal repairs to aircraft components;
Carrying out and certify sheet metal repairs on Company aircraft;
Maintaining the work area in a neat and tidy condition;
Becoming familiar with Transport Canada Company manuals and documents;
Ability to read Structural Repair manual and Blueprints;
Ability to obtain an Airside Vehicle Operator Permit;
Other related duties as assigned;
Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, the safety of co-workers and customers.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be a graduate of an approved Transport Canada Aircraft Structures course and/or hold a valid AME license Category S.
Experience in carrying out Heavy Maintenance on DASH-8 and/or CRJ aircraft will be a definite asset.
