Your Mission Ensure IKEA’s position as the best home furnishing store in your local market by strengthening our Vision, Business Idea, and identity through commercial range presentation of the Shops, Compacts, Studios, Self-serve and Activity areas.

Additional Information Your Goals:
Support FY sales goals through optimizing the use of the IKEA store layout and store media by developing and implementing range presentation solutions that strengthen the connection between the IKEA offer and the everyday lives of people.
Reflecting the IKEA Brand though implementation of range priorities and low price profile as per the IKEA concept, Commercial Review standards and the IKEA Canada range strategy.
Meet related P&L objectives by doing all the above with a specified ROI and staying within pre- approved budget, timelines and transfer goals.
Impact Voice by developing and coaching visual merchandisers so they are able to meet the expectations as outlined in their Key Tasks. (Internal)
Influence ICSS and Market Capital surveys by providing an inspirational shopping experience that addresses previous feedback and opportunities. (Internal)
Maintain a detailed knowledge of the IKEA range and supporting communication
Partner with commercial management team to have consistent interaction and feedback on Com & In issues and support Business Plan priorities
Ensure cost effective, safe and environmentally friendly solutions and working methods
Create an environment where the IKEA Culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers
Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as they occur

You Have:
Highly developed knowledge of visual merchandising and home furnishing trends
Previous experience within a leadership funtion
Ability to work creatively, strategically and operationally
Multi-tasking capabilities
Computer literacy including AutoCAD and Excel
Ability to lift 50 lbs. (25 kg)
2-3 years IKEA Com & In and build-up/remodel experience including internal training programs (internal)
3-5 years retail Interior Design/Visual merchandising experience
Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or related field considered an asset

Your Workplace:
Fast-paced, high volume retail environment with exposure to conditions of carpentry and painting
Periodic exposure to renovation conditions
Occasional domestic and international travel

Report to: Com-In Manager
Matrix: Country Com-In Manager, Country Visual Merchandising (Internal)
Supervises: Visual Merchandisers
