Description:
The incumbent is reknowned for working under pressure, being a team player, and passionate about video games, and bringing innovation to gameplay programming. The selected candidate must clearly and easily communicate technical information, presented in a manner that all team members will understand. Finally, the gameplay programmer must be driven by results and autonomous.
Responsibilities:
The primary tasks will involve working closely with game designers to develop the game’s main character controls.
Qualifications & Profile:
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- 3-5 years of experience programming in C/C++ and optimising code
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Gameplay or AI programmer, therefore it is imperative to have in-depth knowledge of development of path finding systems.
- Experience in object-oriented design (UML), 3DSMax, and excellent math skills are an asset
- Demonstrated experience in gameplay AI and design (main character, cameras, NPCs, environment, UI)
- Excellent ability to communicate with all disciplines and able to elevate the team in terms of quality and overall vision of the game
- Experience developing on current generation consoles (PS3/360/Wii)
- Passionate about video game development
