An exciting opportunity for valuable work experience with a local charitable organization.

30 hrs/wk for approx. 10 wks.

The Program and Outreach Assistant will be responsible for:

• Outreach: representing the organization at community events
• Conducting a survey
• Updating database of community resources
• Assisting with Centre administration including answering the phone, program support
• Working with volunteers
• Attending meetings
• Delivering workshops and/or assisting in workshop delivery (depending on experience/skill)
• Maintaining confidentiality according to policy
• Related duties as needed

Desired Qualifications:
Applicant must be a post-secondary student returning to his or her studies in the fall. Students from the following programs are encouraged to apply: Health, Education, Social Sciences, Human Services, and Women/Gender Studies.

The successful applicant must provide a clear criminal record and child abuse registry check. Access to transportation is a must.
