Responsibilities of this position include:
Proposal & Pursuit Management
·
Work with partners and senior managers to manage and support the RFP process, including drafting proposals, building proposal templates, creating sales presentations / documents and tracking results (win/loss reviews).
·
Manage the research process for both internal and external data and information to support RFP’s and proposals.
·
Develop and implement credentials and build a portfolio of partner profiles and bio’s.
Business Development Support
·
Support and participate in the development of regional marketing and business development plans and approach.
·
Create presentations and project documents to support the marketing and business development programs.
·
Provide support, coaching and assistance to partners and senior managers with the business development process, pursuits and proposals.
·
Helps raise the profile of the firm through direct client and prospect engagement (ie. attending events, connecting with local business community, etc.).
·
Connect clients and targets with resources and expertise within the firm.
Personal Marketing Plans (PMP’s) & Marketing Plans
·
Work with partners and senior managers to implement and drive PMP activity in the regional offices.
·
Work with regional offices to implement regional and office marketing plans.
Ensure regional and office marketing plans support targets as defined by PMP’s.
National Programs
·
Work with local offices within regions to implement and coordinate National campaigns, programs and initiatives (for example, Industry Program and Alumni Program).
Team Network
·
Marketing/business development team member of two regional teams (primary ACR/ secondary OLR) – and local offices within those regions.
·
Member of the firm’s wider Marketplace team.
·
Work with a national network of MMR BDM’s in other regions to share ideas, best practices and identify opportunities and synergies.
The successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:
Minimum 5-7+ years of proven and progressive marketing and proposal/RFP experience.
·
University degree in business or related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
·
Well developed writing skills, particularly with drafting business proposals and marketing material.
·
Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
·
Intuitive ability to make decisions and excellent problem solving skills.
·
Works well autonomously – sometimes with little guidance or direction.
·
Strong communication and presentation skills – both written and verbal.
·
Superior project management and strong organizational skills.
·
Excellent interpersonal and client focused skills – interacts well with all levels of staff – partners, managers and clients with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
·
Self-starter, motivated and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
·
Strong ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of team, handle multiple projects, multi-task and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
·
Proficiency with in MS Office – Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
·
Ability to travel to other regional offices and off-site marketing events.
