Our client is an established law firm in the downtown core. They are currently seeking a Litigation Assistant to provide support to a team of two lawyers and 2 law clerks. In this role you will be responsible for providing full administrative and secretarial support with legal and general administration. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and juggling multiple priorities. If you have demonstrated experience in commercial litigation and are looking for a role where you can put your skills to use, then this might be the perfect role for you!

Duties & Responsibilities

Drafting legal documents
Preparing affidavits, motions
Preparing correspondence
Managing legal documents
Opening and closing files
Transcription
Scheduling appointments and meetings
Preparing general correspondence and memos
Coordinating travel arrangements
Assisting with accounting - docketing and billing

Skills & Requirements

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 2010
Minimum 80 wpm typing speed; accuracy is a must
At least 4 years commercial litigation experience
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Attention to and ownership of the organization of large files
An effective communicator with polished communication skills
Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and file management skills
Excellent grammar, spelling, punctuation and proofreading
Discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters
