PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure that financial reporting of RBC FG is prepared in accordance with Royal Bank accounting and reporting requirements and that the reporting is timely, accurate and complete.

Prepare the monthly and quarterly consolidated income statement packages and working papers for financial reporting. Prepare and compare various I/S reports in each of the 4 Runs every month.

Preparation and analysis of OCI/AOCI and preparation of the MD&A tables and F/S note disclosures

Responsible for verification of MD&A Tables and I/S numbers in External Reporting Package, Consolidated Income Statement, Supplement Package, IR charts and Annual Report

Analyze financial results and prepare account reconciliations. Prepare adjusting entries. Calculate various IS related ratios

Prepare restatement templates and coordinate with BUs the booking of manual adjustments at AC 6

Manage the Account to Line process as it relates to the income statement group; assist in resolution of mapping issues

Fulfill documentation requirements and information requests from SOX and Internal Audit

Actively participate in SR&R process improvement projects, make recommendations for improvements and once approved, carry through with the implementation. Update and monitor controls to ensure data integrity.

KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Hands-on experience with EPM tools strongly preferred

Strong computer skills

Excellent problem solving, technical and analytical skills required.

Strong teamwork & cooperation skills

Self motivator (self starter), strong inter-personal & communication skills

Strong listening, understanding and responding skills

CMA/CGA designation or in process of obtaining CMA/CGA designation
