Foth is a consulting engineering, science and construction services firm delivering technical solutions for public and private clients around the corner and around the globe. We are currently seeking a self-directed, results-oriented Geotechnical or Environmental Engineer – Mining for our Toronto location.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide support on complex, multi-disciplined mining projects
Assist with geotechnical investigations, environmental investigations, facility design development, construction documentation, project reportsand permit applications
Perform calculations and analysis; make recommendations to project managers and other technical staff to support engineering and design solutions
Assist with data management and preparation of related sampling reports
Deliver projects effectively -- on budget and on schedule
Conduct construction observation on mining projects
Demonstrate behavior consistent with Foth Basic Principles and Values
Work collaboratively and build effective relationships with others
Communicate effectively across all levels within organization
Maintain a positive attitude
Travel as required (domestic and/or international) for field work and/or other client/business objectives
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
BS Geotechnical or Environmental Engineering or related discipline
Minimum of 5 years of experience with the following:
Project design
Field work
Documentation
Completing technical and project reports, specifications and proposals
Environmental investigation, sampling and documentation
Landfill gas system monitoring
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Understanding of the consulting engineering business
