Reporting to the Director of Client Services, the Intake RN is responsible for providing the information required to ensure appropriate client care by receiving, assessing and referring requests for care, reviewing supporting clinical information and providing required information to caseload planners and other care providers. The Client Services Representative may liaise with field staff to provide clinical support, identify and report quality management and risk issues, and contribute to the development and promotion of programs to meet community needs.
This position will require candidates to be available to work weekdays, weekends and holidays on rotation during the hours of 8am to 6 pm
Qualifications
- Registration with the College of Registered Nurses of NS.
- Minimum of 2 years community nursing experience is required.
- Experience with VON is an asset.
- Experience with and sound knowledge of community programs and agencies throughout the Province.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Sound assessment and problem solving skills.
- Computer skills – basic knowledge of Windows XP and Microsoft Office.
- An equivalent combination of experience and training will be considered

SALARY: As per NSNU Collective Agreement
$29.2381 - $34.1690 hourly ($35.3649 hourly with 25 years service)
HOURS OF WORK:
weekdays, weekends and holidays on rotation during the hours of 8am to 6 pm
