Front End Associates provide friendly, helpful, and professional Customer Service, represents Company values to the public, ensures proper adherence to Company policies and maintains security in front end operations. Positions in the front end include: Cashiers, Customer Service Managers, Courtesy Desk, Cart Collectors, People Greeters, and Maintenance.
Monitoring and maintaining all front end cash levels and cash fund
Ensuring registers are prepared for opening and closing each day.
Following Company guidelines concerning refund, check, bankcard and Associate discount purchase approvals
Promoting & Educating about features and benefits of the Walmart Rewards MasterCard to all customers that are greeted, and helped at the Front End
Receives cash from Customers or associates in payment for goods or services
Correctly counting back change to the Customer to prevent cash overages and shortages.
Assisting Customers with information, refunds, exchanges and directions
Properly following Refund Automation procedures according to Company guidelines
Welcoming each Customer to Walmart by smiling, greeting in a friendly tone with a "Hello" or "Welcome to Walmart"
Recognize and react to shopper's needs.( direction in store, assistance with children etc.)
Ensuring Health & Safety guidelines are followed.
Being knowledgeable about lockout, tagout procedures.
Being familiar with hazards involved with chemicals and practicing safe handling procedures.
Using proper protective equipment while handling chemicals.
Cleaning Customer and Associate restrooms regularly.
Following correct disposal procedures for chemicals.
