Our dynamic client (located in Edmonton, AB), is looking for a Field Service Technician. This person will report to the Field Service Manager, or the most Senior Service Supervisor.The scope of the job is to organize, execute and supervise all Cementing activities. A 2 year Engineering Technical Diploma is required. To apply principles of service quality and continuous improvement in the process chain. Each field employee has a direct impact on the level of service quality executed at the well site, which in turn favours or impedes the client's contract opportunities. The principal duties and responsibilities include:
- Know, observe and adhere to the client and Location QHSE Policies, Standards, Procedures and Rules, and adhere to the client's Safety Rules.
- Dress professionally and wear all required QHSE PPE as per the client and Location standards at all times.
- Actively promote Safety at wellsite, in the shop and within the community through use of RIR reports and Quality Improvement suggestions.
- Know and help the location to achieve the QHSE Objectives.
- Propose plans for continuous Quality Improvement to the Engineer-in-Charge, with the aim of improving general standards of Service Quality.
- Ensures that people, equipment, and materials arrive on location in a timely manner as required by the client.
- Executes successful jobs according to design and client specifications.
- Ensures that all phases of treatment are carried out in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
- Assists Field Service Manager in preparing performance evaluations for assigned personnel.
- Trains and develops assigned employees to operate in a safe, efficient, and professional manner within Company policy and procedure.
- Initiates disciplinary action when necessary, on location with crew or assigned personnel, within Field Service Manager guidelines.
- Maintains and repairs product line equipment as needed to client standards.
- Prepares product line reports for Field Service Manager and clients.
- Understand and apply the services and technologies that Well Services provides to customers.
- Monitor and record jobs at the wellsite.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.
- Applies technical and operational knowledge by completing training modules.
Must be fluent in reading, writing and comprehending the English language.
