Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Subcontracting Procurement Lead, based in St. John's, Newfoundland.
Job Description
Reporting to the Marine Operations Manager, the Sub-Contracting and Procurement Lead will provide support during the engineering and construction of the Gravity Based Structure (GBS).
Act as main contact point between own department and procurement department
Establish and maintain routines for consistent work processes and routines for handling of subcontract and procurement packages within Marine Operations
Establish and maintain a sub-contracting and procurement strategy
Provide guidance and support to PREs (Package Responsible Engineer), specifically pertaining to administration and legal issues of sub-contracts and procurement packages
Actively promote safety and the Serious about Zero philosophy
Establish and maintain routines for management and administration of sub-contracts
Establish, monitor and achieve a budget for defined scope
Interface with project services, such as Administration, Procurement, Subcontracting, Contract, SSHE and Quality to ensure adherence to project routines, goals and client requirements
Supervise direct reports
Skills & Experience
Engineering degree or suitable combination of experience and education
Extensive relevant experience
This is a contract position.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
