- Screen approximately 80-100 patients, both in person and telephone calls; assess need for medical intervention daily.
- Prepare and set up for minor surgical procedures, e.g., mole removals, vasectomies, etc., and assist physician as required.
- Conduct various physical examinations (routine physicals: weight, height, blood pressure, pulse, urine, eye chart, color vision, hemoglobin, prenatal examinations: weight, blood pressure, urine; babies: head circumference, weight length).
- Prepare necessary requisitions for various laboratory tests to be carried out at hospitals (primarily x-rays); advise patients regarding preparation for tests.
- Provide counseling and advice to patients on a number of matters (students, prenatal patients, mothers with newborns, planning for birth control, diet counseling, etc.).
- Maintain adequate stock of medical supplies; reorder through Clinic Manager.
- Conduct various immunization or related clinical sessions annually.
- Maintain current level of skills and knowledge through readings, attending lectures, workshops etc., as required.
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse. Clinic experience and proficiency in Nightingale preferred, but not essential.
