The Corporate Controls team is responsible for leading the information gathering and control evaluation for Bell Aliant’s Compliance (SOx) program.
Our team maintains a highly visible profile within the organization and has exposure to multiple layers and cross-functional groups within Bell Aliant.
Reporting to the Manager Corporate Controls, you will be responsible for:
§
Evaluating and testing the design and operation of controls and reporting results to Management
§
Building and maintaining relationships with Process Owners, External Auditors and other key stakeholders
§
Identifying value-add opportunities and process improvements
§
Monitoring and reporting control deficiencies
Qualifications:
As the successful candidate, you are a self-starter and highly motivated individual. You will possess:
A recent professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA) or working towards completion.
Previous external and/or internal audit experience with specialization in a risk and controls auditing environment would be an asset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational, analytical and project management skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced and deadline driven environment both independently and as a team.
Bilingualism (French) would be an asset.
