Location Details: Vancouver, BC
Working with the line managers, the Labour Relations Team, and the unions within the Emergency & Health Services Commission (British Columbia Ambulance Services, BC Bedline, The Nursing Services of HealthLinkBC), and external partners such as Occupational Health Service Providers, Worksafe BC, Great-West Life and health care providers, you will be responsible for all aspects of disability case management and will manage and co-ordinate the resources to mitigate disability claims costs and to ensure employees return to sustainable work as quickly and as safely as possible. In this role you will also be responsible to review and resolve STIIP claims, Attendance Management, and Duty to Accommodate cases.
The ideal candidate will bring least 3 years related work experience and will have:
Demonstrated knowledge of integrated disability management principles and practice
Demonstrated knowledge of human resources and labor relations principles and practices as related to disability management
Demonstrated knowledge of the Human Rights provisions
Experience in early intervention processes and management of short term, long term, and WorkSafe BC related absences.
Demonstrated their ability to organize and manage a large and demanding workload
Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
The ability to ensure the stakeholder needs are identified and met, where possible
Strong interpersonal, communication and documentation skills
Proficiency in the use of computers using a variety of software applications
Ability to travel within British Columbia
