Qualifications:
Electrical Engineer with at least 4 years of current experience in building electrical systems design.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and drafting methods and techniques.
Candidate to be a registered Professional Engineer within Canada or an Engineer-in-Training with adequate experience to register. The successful candidate will be required to register with NAPEG.
Experience with Revit is beneficial but not required.
Working knowledge of MS Office programs.
Knowledge of building codes such as the Canadian Electrical Code, the National Building Code of Canada, and other applicable CSA and CAN/ULC standards.
Experience in lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, telecommunications and other typical building electrical systems's design.
Experience in construction administration - conducting site field reviews; responding to contractor's queries; reviewing shop drawings; preparing site instructions and contemplated change notices.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and work independently to see projects through to completion.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of multidisciplinary coordination through design and the construction process.
Demonstrate proficiency in coordinating with clients and work proactively with the team to meet deadlines.
Willingness to travel.
