Manage core HR administrative operations in all areas of benefits and some aspects of pensions for Bell Aliant.

Manage the support of all HR program and policy launches to the organization.
Consult with the program/ policy owners on the success of the launches based on employee and retiree feedback and experience. Recommend process improvements for future program launches.

Analyze processes within the HR ESC to identify opportunities for efficiencies, develop timelines and roll out new processes.

Analyze employee contacts to the HR ESC to identify and recommend changes to HR policies and practices.

Manage the work efforts of 11 unionized employees within the HR Employee Service Centre Administrative team and Recruiting.
Ensure adequate staffing levels to support over 50,000 contacts (email and phone) per year.
Team is the primary point of contact for Bell Aliant employee and retirees.

Lead the work efforts of 2 Total Rewards Analysts – one specialising in Union Compensation & ePerformance, and the other in Benefits.
Education/Certifications Required.

Undergraduate degree, preferably in Human Resources.
A Masters degree would be considered an asset.

A broad range of HR policies and procedures, particularly pensions, compensation, and benefits.

Proven leadership skills; able to inspire others and build teams.
Leading in a unionized environment would be an asset.

Coaching and developing others.

Demonstrated problem solving and strong analytical skills.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

PeopleSoft HR, Payroll, and Benefits knowledge an asset.

Utilizing reporting tools, or ability to adapt to new reporting tools (e.g. PeopleSoft Query, Cognos, etc).

Proficient use of Microsoft suite of products, i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
