Working closely with other Team Leads, coordinate discipline staff and maintain the technical competence and production requirements of the discipline.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
Manage workload, motivate, train and mentor, and discipline direct reports according to company policies and guidelines.
In conjunction with the Engineering Manager, forecast workload and assist in recruitment and termination of staff.
Develop staff Career Paths and provide performance appraisals, with input from the Engineering Manager.
Provide Technical oversight on single and multi-discipline projects.
Act as Project Manager or Engineer of Record on single and multi-discipline projects as time permits.
Assist the Engineering Manager with proposal preparation as required.
Act as senior client contact for key clients.
Work with Human Resources to develop and deliver in-house technical training on areas of expertise.

Education:
P.Eng. designation
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
8+ years experience under the supervision of a Senior Engineer

The ability to recognize and accurately define problems and solutions by collecting data and establishing facts to draw valid conclusions.

Ability to represent the company to the staff, clients and community by ensuring the best image is presented.
Application knowledge of WEC systems and programs (including Gnosis, Vision, Career Path, MS Office, discipline specific drafting/design software, etc.)
