The successful candidate will become an integral member of the Global Fleet group, whose primary responsibilities revolve around the design, construction, and support of wireline field units. In addition to the responsibilities listed below, the incumbent will also have the opportunity to substantially influence the design of new field unit products.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
developing a formal quality management system that satisfies the objectives outlined in the Enterprise Excellence Policy;
actively participating in the resolution of WISE queries that are elevated to 'global fleet' status;
writing technical work instructions and procedures (covering manufacturing, commissioning, and operating processes) for global fleet products;
commissioning new products into the operational fleet;
providing expert operational support to global operations;
tracking and categorizing unit failures with the goal of pro-actively finding solutions to 'high impact' problems;
actively participate on RCA teams evaluating fleet product failures;
participating in the design and specification process for new product designs.
In addition to the above, the incumbent must also be an individual who: is willing to travel internationally; works well in a team environment; interfaces well, learns from, and accepts criticism from product line experts; and possesses proven project organization skills.
Certified electronics or engineering technologist with extensive experience repairing and maintaining wireline field units and/or wireline surface acquisition systems. CompEx certification would be considered an asset.
