Our client, a not for profit organization, is seeking an Interim Accounting Manager for its Halifax office. This is a contract opportunity for approximately 4 – 6 weeks.

Reporting to the Controller, you will ensure the timely generation of reliable financial information and ensure compliance with applicable reporting requirements.

Primary accountabilities include:

• General accounting
• Accounts payable
• General ledger maintenance and account reconciliations
• Bank reconciliations
• Payroll
• Other general accounting duties as required

As the ideal candidate, you have a university degree with a major in accounting or finance and approximately five years of general accounting experience. With excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, you are able to work independently with initiative and meet all deadlines. Combining strong communication and interpersonal skills with advanced problem resolution abilities, you have a proven track record of success.
