Bilingual positions are at the CBC/CBC group and level. For bilingual position(s) staffed from this selection process, applicants must have valid Second Language Evaluation test results at, or above, the required level of language proficiency when the pool is created and at the time of their appointment or permanent lateral move. Second Language Evaluations (SLE) will be administered where applicable.

Job Description and Duties
Cashier and General Services Clerk
Greets and directs taxpayers to self-serve options such as telephony enquiries lines, access to online Agency information banks, forms and publications, or redirect the taxpayer to the appropriate internal contact.
Accepts, processes, and prepares deposit slips for all forms of payments and remittances received from taxpayers, ensures they are credited to the proper accounts, or creates new accounts at the request of the processing centre
Updates taxpayer information in Agency systems such as changes of address and account entries in the Agency system diaries and produces printouts of taxpayer information
Performs various administrative and support services for the division such as maintaining inventory controls and records, generating statistical and performance reports, sorting and distributing mail to the appropriate area, ordering supplies, and maintaining an inventory of such supplies.
Experience
Experience performing a full range of general clerical duties and administrative support services in an office environment.
OR
Experience working in the financial industry dealing with external clients and balancing cash.
AND
Experience using a personal computer and Microsoft Office (ie. Word, Excel).
AND
Recent and significant* experience providing customer service to a broad client base.

- Recent and Significant experience is defined as the degree of experience that would normally be acquired performing the duties above for a period of approximately six cumulative (6) months in the last three (3) years.
