The Assistant Supervisor position provides backup support for the Shift Supervisor and will assist with the day-to-day operation of the shift including employee safety, housekeeping, in-process quality checks, operating efficiencies and production paper work. This position also fills in for operators, blenders or pigment controller as needed, and will assist with line changeovers and staging lines with required materials.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES :
Ensure safety, ISO and housekeeping procedures are followed and product quality specifications are adhered to. Assist with line changeovers and staging lines with required materials. Fill in for Operators, Blenders, and Pigment Controller as needed. Assist the Shift Supervisor with necessary paperwork and data entry.

Establish proper communications for smooth flow of information to all required areas. This includes proper information exchange between shifts and other departments.Initiate corrective action as directed to fix product defects. Fully embrace & monitor 5-S initiatives & compliance using the 5-S checklist. Train production employees on the shift. Display healthy and positive attitude towards the Ampacet management and fellow employees.

REQUIREMENTS :
High School degree or equivalent.

5 years experience in manufacturing environment with knowledge of operating production equipment. Experience in plastics industry preferred.

Prior supervisor experience is preferred.

Good trouble shooting skills.

Must have good leadership qualities and strong interpersonal skills.
