Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting the incumbent will be responsible for the general day-to-day accounting duties of the Corporate Division, Consolidated reporting, as well as assisting in longer-term accounting concerns, including budgeting and forecasting.
Conduct daily accounting activities.
Consolidated reporting preparation including consolidated internal financial statements.
Support budget and forecast processes.
Support the audit process.
Assist the Corporate Controller, Manager, Financial Reporting, and Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis with ad hoc reporting and other administrative tasks.
Complete special projects as required.
Bank deposits and bank reconciliation.
Accounts receivable cycle.
Corporate balance sheet account reconciliations.
Corporate income statement account analysis.
Corporate month end cycle.
Publish monthly consolidated internal financial statements and supporting reports.
Assist Manager, Financial Reporting with budget and forecast processes.
Assist Manager, Financial Reporting with audit process.
Assist Manager, Financial Reporting with government and Statistics Canada reporting.
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong attention to detail and organization.
Accounting Designation (CMA preferred)
2-3 years experience in an accounting related capacity.
Excellent time management.
Ability to bring creative solutions to the table to streamline processes and create efficiencies.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including MS Office.
Strong work ethic and integrity in practice.
Able to work well with little to no supervision.
Physical Requirements (if applicable):
Sitting for long periods of time.
Ability to work overtime in office environment and look at a screen for eight hours or more to meet deadlines.
