The primary focus of this role is to provide dedicated administrative support to the human resources team to ensure department objectives are met and effective HR support is provided.
This position will provide HR support to the Mississauga and Scarborough site and will require travel between the two sites.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide administrative assistance to the Human Resources department at the Mississauga and Scarborough sites. Responsible for processing invoices, maintaining up-to-date personnel files and other general administrative support to the HR team
Collect, sort and distribute departmental inter-office mail on a daily basis
Act as a front line resource for all employee inquiries on employment policies, procedures, guidelines, employment legislation, and benefits
Input and update employee data in the HRIS; create and transfer data to payroll on a bi-weekly basis for processing
WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT:
Requires working in a normal business office environment
This position will require travel between the Mississauga and Scarborough site
QUALIFICATIONS
Successfully completed post secondary education
0 - 2 years experience in an administrative role
Working towards Human Resources Certificate/Diploma/Degree
Strong administrative skills
Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and exceptional follow-up skills
Solid organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize and handle multiple priorities
Strong team and customer service orientation with ability to work in a fast paced, growing environment
Highly proficient with MS Office Suite
Conflict management skills with the ability to escalate situations when appropriate
Confidentiality and discretion a must
Self starter and energetic with initiative, professionalism and sound analytical and problem-solving skills
