General Accountability:
Within the Sample Preparation department, you will work with client samples and prepare them for analysis in our labs. You will use correct methods in accordance with the established procedures and schedules while ensuring analytical quality, and adhere to safe laboratory practices by working in accordance with the ALS Health and Safety Program.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Capable of ringing, sieving (including International Soils), crushing, splitting under direct supervision;
• Able to load and unload drying ovens under supervision;
• Maintain own production logs;
• General cleaning duties for basic lab cleanliness;
• Familiar with all safety rules for the lab and sample prep;
• Observe established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures;
• Other duties as assigned by the Lead Hand, Supervisor or Manager.

Requirements/Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Good hand-eye coordination;
• Basic English oral communication skills required;
• Good organizational skills;
• Flexible schedule.
