As Maintenance Scheduler - Substations, you will report to the Manager, Maintenance Analysis, Planning and Scheduling in the Maintenance Program Delivery department. The Maintenance Scheduler's purpose is to provide the logistical coordination necessary to enable AltaLink to complete their annual work plan in the most efficient and effective manner possible. This includes a high volume of interaction with other departments within AltaLink.
Create and finalize the annual work calendar by technical discipline.
Work with other Schedulers, Planners and the Manager to create the integrated annual calendar.
Assign work to individuals or groups utilizing SAP/MRS software scheduling tool.
Collaborate with other disciplines and other parts of the organization to ensure efficient management of work and resources.
Ensure all other parts of the organization fulfill their requirements in supporting the forecasting and scheduling of work.
Monitor and report the completion of all scheduled work and variances to the schedule.
Ensure action is created when work is not completed as scheduled.
Create Outage Requests Forms with input from Field staff.
Technical Diploma, preferably in the Electrical discipline.
5+ years of related technical experience.
Previous scheduling experience would be an asset.
Experience with SAP - PM Module would be beneficial.
Intermediate ability with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel.
Proactive, self starter with strong initiative, and the ability to work under minimal direction.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and determine a solution/sound alternative.
Strong team player.
Superior organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a wide variety of tasks simultaneously.
Proven track record of good attendance and performance.
